Being Safe in Airsoft
68Basic Safety Tips
There are some basic safety tips that you can follow when playing airsoft to ensure that nobody gets hurt and everybody finishes the game without any harm. Many people brush off safety, but when an accident happens, suddenly it is the number one priority. Avoid any misfortune by being proactive and taking action before a crisis occurs.
- Wear Protective Gear - That means a full face mask and, if you are male, a cup. Getting hit in the face or groin is not a pleasant experience, and in rare cases it can leave permanent damage.
- Agree On the Rules - Before starting the game, make sure players on both sides know the rules well. That means the minimum distance that you can shoot from, and when you get any closer, you must call for a surrender.
- Play in a Safe Area - Playing in a car-filled, populous neighborhood is not a good idea, as even though you might be fine, others and their personal property could be endangered.
By following this advice, you can ensure that you will never get hurt playing airsoft.

Getting Affordable Safety Gear
Protecting yourself does not have to be an expensive endeavor. There are many ways you can protect vital parts of your body without spending much money. In fact, for less than the cost of a single, cheap airsoft gun, you can get all the safety gear you will ever need.
The primary thing you need to acquire is a mask. Technically, this is the only thing you really need, as getting hit in the eye could permanently blind you. Other than that, all other parts of the body recover fairly quickly, although as mentioned above, males would probably do well with a cup.
You can get a cheap face mask for about ten dollars. These masks have straps to secure them to your head, and they are durable enough to last for a long time. As you can see, being safe is quite easy, and putting off purchasing safety gear can only hurt you.
